The faith of an Undocumented mother is tested as she struggles to make money for her infant son and navigate a society alien to her.
Escaping extreme poverty Marta leaves her son to the care of her mother and comes to the US to join her friend Rita. She manages to keep her faith by praying to a clay virgin she brought from her country but the feelings of guilt are greater than she can bear.
Unable to bring her family to the land of opportunities, she loses faith in the American dream and in her magical virgin. All she is left with is herself and the chance to find her own forgiveness.
